You can benefit from volunteering in the following way: - help you into paid work or education
- gain new experiences
- help your community
- learn new skills
- give you training
- meet new people
- increase your confidence
- improve your health
- give something back
- make a difference
- use your spare time well
We welcome volunteers who help us in our work. Unfortunately we cannot include everyone who applies to be a volunteer. Submitting an application does not guarantee that you will be accepted as a volunteer for MEAD Project but we might be able to find you a place in more suitable organisation or charity. You may wish to speak with one of our staff and find out more about our work before applying. The process of becoming a volunteer includes several steps: - Complete and return our application form which can be obtained by contact us: phone 01738 634789, email info@meadproject.org.uk or download it from this page.
- We will ask you to provide us with two referees to whom we will send reference requests.
Before anyone can start as a volunteer we must be able to secure their references. - An interview will then be arranged where we can discuss suitable volunteering roles.
- An induction to MEAD will take place if we agree to move forward with the process.
- The volunteer and MEAD staff will agree their role as a volunteer and starting date.
Volunteers can claim travel expenses, which must be authorised, while providing services to MEAD Project’s clients. |
